Objectives

  1. Acquire knowledge of central debates in contemporary philosophy of science at master’s level
  2. Skills: handle primary literature, present a text (possibly collaboratively), debate at academic level, concisely represent a text in short writing
  3. Attitude: critically reflect upon scientific knowledge from a meta-perspective; approach texts analytically

  3. Scientific Realism Debate: No-miracles argument, constructive empiricism, pessimistic meta-induction, inference to the best explanation, structural realism
